relevant Health & Safety legislation
- Carry out pre-start checks before
use of equipment
- Demonstrate handling and use of CAT
& Genny with correct ground sweeping procedure
- Correctly store equipment after use.
- Complete course assessment

Who is the Course For? |
Cable detection is an essential
requirement for anyone involved in any operation that involves breaking
ground surface. This includes not only those using plant and machinery but
also fencing operatives and those involved in felling large trees
(hardwoods) that can penetrate the ground with limbs when they fall |

- Introduction
- Health and Safety legislation
- Pre-start checks of equipment

marking of cables

Facilities/Equipment required: |
Venue
- Warm, well lit room with adequate tables and chairs in open U,
lighting and power points. Washroom and toilet facilities.
- Site near the training room for the practical sessions
- Cat & Genny equipment; service plans for test area.
