Health and Safety for Supervisors and Managers

To provide an overview of Health and Safety legislation to enable supervisors and managers meet their legal responsibilities in the workplace.

Course Objectives To enable course members to:
bullet Understand the principles of Health and Safety legislation
bullet Identify health risks occurring in the work situation
bullet Maintain the safety of the workforce
Who is the Course For? All personnel who have a supervisory or management role.  The course is customised to particular groups either front-line management or those with a more "back-office" role
Duration/Format

One day - 6 hours

NVQ/SVQ Linkage

This course supports learning towards a range of NVQs/SVQs where health and safety  issues are significant.

Facilities/Equipment required: Venue
  • Warm, well lit room with adequate tables and chairs in open U, lighting and power points. Washroom and toilet facilities.
  • Site near the training room for the risk assessment if possible
