Health and Safety with Environmental Awareness (Fencing)

To prepare candidates for the touch screen test required to obtain the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card for fencing operatives/managers that is a requisite for access to sites controlled by the major contractors group and many other organisations.

Course Objectives To enable course members to:
bullet Understand the principles of Health and Safety legislation
bullet Understand the principles of safe site working
bullet Identify health risks occurring in the work situation
bullet Understand the environmental issues arising from site work
bullet Maintain their personal safety
Who is the Course For? All personnel involved in fencing work who will be required to sit the CITB touch screen test in order to show evidence of health and safety skills under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
Duration/Format

One day - 6 hours

NVQ/SVQ Linkage

This course supports learning towards a range of NVQs/SVQs where health and safety  issues are significant.

  • Warm, well lit room with adequate tables and chairs in open U, lighting and power points. Washroom and toilet facilities.
